Leadership and Management

The Master of Arts in Leadership and Management program consists of 36 credit hours and is offered fully online.  The Online Master's in Management degree is designed for busy adult students who are interested in obtaining their degree and require the flexibility of attending class on their schedule. Online and on-campus (evening) options are also available.

The Master’s in Management, offered online and on-campus, promotes ways to balance intersocial relationships and business skills, allowing managers and leaders to maximize their influence and motivate members within their organizations. By properly leveraging their influence and motivation, graduates will help organizational members find purpose and meaning within the mission and vision of their organization.

MLM-500 - Ldrshp, Mgmt, Influen & Change

This course provides an overview of leadership, management, influence, social power dynamics, and change theories and practices, emphasizing application to the challenges and opportunities facing for-profit corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies. Introduces the philosophies and methodological approaches underlying the Master of Arts in Leadership and Management as well as the writing and online research skills students will use in this program.

Requirements

  1. Apply Online
  2. Submit official transcripts from the regionally accredited institution stating the conferral of a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 system.
  3. Personal statement that includes the following requirements:
    • The statement falls between 400 and 1000 words.
    • Includes a beginning (introduction), middle (body), and end (summary/conclusion).
    • This statement is original (no plagiarism) and reflective of the applicant’s experiences and traits. No outside work (citations and references) is allowed.
    • The submission is professional with no spelling, grammar, or sentence structure errors.
    • The statement should address the following:
      • Describe your employment history and why you are choosing to pursue a graduate degree at this time in your career.
      • Describe a personal and/or professional goal that you hope you will fulfill through earning your graduate degree.
      • Describe a past or present personal/professional experience that you believe positively influenced your potential to succeed in a graduate program.
