Associate Degree Admissions Procedure

A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:

  • Online Application
  • Final and official transcripts from all previous institutions attended* If you have attended a MNSCU college or university we also ask that you provide an official accompanying DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet.  Concordia accepts completed goal areas.* If you have less than 20 college credits completed, you will need to submit your official high school transcript as well as any college level courses you have taken.
  • Submit a typed personal statement that answers the questions listed below. Completed statements should be labeled with your name, academic program, and your contact information and submitted via email or fax. Each question should be answered in a minimum of 300 words (1 page), for a total of at least 600 words:
    • What has led you to pursue your undergraduate degree?
    • What are your long-term personal and professional goals?
  • Satisfactory score on the TOEFL (for international students); minimum scores: 523 on paper or 193 on computer

Bachelor’s Degree Admissions Procedure

A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:

  • Online Application
  • Submit official transcripts from the regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 based on a 4.0 system.
    • If you have attended a MNSCU college or university we also ask that you provide an official accompanying DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet.  Concordia accepts completed goal areas.
    • If you have less than 20 college credits completed, you will need to submit your official high school transcript as well as any college level courses you have taken.
  • Submit a typed personal statement that answers the questions listed below. Completed statements should be labeled with your name, academic program, and your contact information and submitted via email or fax. Each question should be answered in a minimum of 300 words (1 page), for a total of at least 600 words:
    • What has led you to pursue your undergraduate degree?
    • What are your long term personal and professional goals?

Master’s Degree Admissions Procedure

A student must submit the following items before the admissions office can process the application:

  • Online Application
  • Official transcript from the regionally accredited college or university that granted the student’s undergraduate degree
  • Submit a typed personal statement that answers the questions listed below. Completed statements should be labeled with your name, academic program, and your contact information and submitted via email or fax. Each answer must be at least 300 words, for a total of at least 900 words:
    • Why are you choosing to pursue a graduate program at this time in your career, and what are you hoping to accomplish by doing so?
    • What strengths do you feel make you a strong candidate for the program?
    • Describe a past or present personal/professional experience that you believe positively influenced your potential to succeed in a graduate program.
    • Additionally, the MBA and MBA-Healthcare programs require a fourth question (an additional 300 words, for a total of at least 1200 words): Give an example of how you have demonstrated excellence as a leader and how it impacted the organization.
  • Résumé
  • Satisfactory score on the TOEFL (for international students); minimum scores: 523 on paper or 193 on computer

Eligible veterans of the U.S. armed forces receiving full Chapter 33 benefits can earn an undergraduate degree (through our traditional or adult undergraduate programs) or graduate degree tuition-free from Concordia University, St. Paul. Housing and other fees still apply.
