The Software Guild and Concordia University, St. Paul formed a strategic partnership to offer educational resources and benefits to The Software Guild apprentices. The Software Guild apprentices can receive a one-time $2,000 scholarship and priority admission status to any accelerated degree completion program. This partnership provides a way for The Software Guild apprentices to leverage their experience and finish their degree faster. Concordia University, St. Paul offers a B.S. in Computer Science, as well as adult undergraduate and graduate programs online, in-class, and blended formats in business, communications, IT management, human resources and more!

Additionally, Concordia University, St. Paul accepts transfer credits from The Software Guild, so graduates of their program can use the lessons learned with The Software Guild and apply them to finishing their degree program faster. If you choose to enroll in the B.S. in Computer Science, you will benefit from 8 transfer credits:

  • Java Bootcamp: Data-Driven Web Applications articulates to
    CSC 222 Introductory Programming with Java (4 credits)
    This course teaches student problem solving with structured programming techniques using Java. The topics covered includes variables, primitive data types, conditional statements, loops, static methods, file processing, string, arrays, and some concepts of object oriented programming. This course requires that students have some programming background. (Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C- in CSC 115)
  • Java Bootcamp: Object-Oriented Programming articulates to
    CSC 322 Object Oriented Programming in Java (4 credits)
    This course teaches student problem solving with object oriented programming techniques using Java. The topics include exception handling, generics, object oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures. This course assumes that students already have a good programming background. (Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C- in CSC 222)
